What I Wish I Learned Sooner: 7 Insights That Transform Boys into Men

Welcome to the hard knock school of lessons taught by life, where most of us only learn the hard way.

Chances are you have been given a bullshit playbook for life.

Life is not like grade school. You don’t get epic results from doing your homework or showing up to practice on time. It’s just not how it works.

Absorb and apply the following life lessons, and you will experience the best life has to offer. You might even ride steadily to meteoric levels of achievement.

Or you can be a sucker and learn the hard way.

The choice is yours.

What is The Only Thing That Matters in Life? Answer: Balls – Tony Montana

Critical lessons taught by life continued…

Success and momentum are about being ready mentally and physically, then taking advantage of every opportunity.

Facing Fears Like a Badass
Achieving legendary feats requires facing fears and singular focus (nothing more).

It’s not about going with the flow, but rather entering flow daily and pushing thresholds of fear and dedication.

You swing with intention and watch the ball all the way to the bat. Your form becomes a function of muscle memory from hundreds if not thousands of hours of practice.

Only when the ball moves out of the strike zone do you stop your swing and wait for your next opportunity.

There are no instant results, only stillness, surrender, and laser focus.

Most people adopt a passive attitude in life. They get stuck in reaction mode instead of pressing forward full throttle every chance they get.

Take action when you don’t feel ready. Do it over and over again without caring about the outcome. And become numb to failure and rejection.

Confidence comes with conquering fears and pushing through resistance, which you can start doing today.

Don’t Look for A Soul Mate Until You Have Created Your Own Masterpiece

Ignore this crucial lesson at your own peril.

She is not your soul mate.

The concept of a soul mate, the way we have come to understand it in popular culture, is a myth that you should throw in the garbage.

You already know how this works, right?

You meet a stunner, look past all of her character flaws, then decide to see her for what she could be instead of who she really is.

The girl you are dating right now is definitely not your soul mate.

Focus on getting over fear of approaching women instead of fawning over every female that shows interest in you.

This is a surefire way to stay maximally focused and avoid catching a nasty case of “oneitis” (or soul mate syndrome).

It can be done if you stay focused.

Everything You Can Do in Your 20s, Can Be Accomplished in Your 30s

Society wants you to treat your 20s like a time to solidify your life, get your ducks in a row, and get in where you fit in before riding into the sunset. This is a fear-based load of bullshit that will doom you to mediocrity.

Your window of opportunity is much larger than it appears.

Avoid making rash decisions because you think your time is running out. It’s not the case, even if everyone around you acts like it is.

Use your 20s to gain as much momentum as possible by doing what most people will not do.

Instead of seeking homeostasis, strategically pursue fear, discomfort, and growth.

Rather than going with the flow, enter flow state and break your comfort zone daily.

Instead of looking for your soulmate, learn to approach women and have meaningful conversations without losing your composure.

Create an amazing life unlike the droves of normies who will settle into being comfortable. You can do this by methodically facing your fears.

Crucial Lessons Taught by Life

“Love is patient; love is kind. Love is not jealous, it does not put on airs, it is not snobbish.” — 1 Corinthians 13: 4

Love and lust are not the same.

One can catapult you to unimaginable heights. The other can drain you of all vitality in exchange for a few days or weeks of pleasure.

This is not to say that lust is evil or useless. I believe strongly in harnessing the power of sex drive to multiply energy and motivation.

Learn the difference between lust and love and convenience and true friendship.

Then master appreciating a girl’s beauty and sex appeal without catching feelings or putting her on a pedestal.

The world is filled with alluring women, but most of them are not worth your time and effort.

There is one exception to this rule.

If you already have a beautiful woman that treats you well and has shown unwavering support for your aspirations.

If you even have to stop to think about it, she is not the one.

Do You Know What Your Fears Are? You Better Find Out

The most powerful life lesson to internalize at a young age is the following:

Everyone has fears and demons. Of course, some are larger, stronger, and scarier than others. Either way, you can only move forward by facing them, letting go, and taking action.

Do not be ashamed of your flaws, weaknesses, and downfalls. Be quick to acknowledge them and start chipping away.

The subtle path is the only way to meteoric success. You can implement it by loving the journey more than the destination and not being embarrassed by where you are.

You can grow fond of the dread and discombobulation of growth — it is doable when you know what to do and how to do it.

Learn how to conquer fears and demons like a boss.

How Biohacks Make You Better at Everything You Do and Make Growth Easier

This is one of the lessons taught by life I wish I had known in high school.

Biohacking refers to hacking into your biology to make yourself stronger, healthier, and more fit and focused.

It is about taking supplements and eating strategically so you feel and perform like a machine or a savage beast.

If you have been in the game long enough, you know there is a lot of garbage out there that is a complete waste of money. But when you finally crack the code and unlock another gear, few feelings compare.

I spent thousands of dollars looking for secret elixirs throughout the years, and only a few simple compounds turned out to be true game changers.

These safe and practical supplements changed my life and made a hardcore difference in my ability to focus, persist through challenges, and strive for bigger and better things.

Master The Art of How to Learn and Everything Becomes Possible

From an early age, we are conditioned to expect knowledge acquisition to come from a classroom, but the truth is you can only learn by doing and failing.

This is why the highest performers in history across various fields seldom had formal education or schooling. Rather, they were willing to immerse themselves deeply and tolerate more pain than others to develop their abilities.

Most people are too ashamed of their starting point to begin. But you must be humble enough to start from ground zero and be willing to accept feeling like a fool.

“If you want to improve, be content to be thought foolish and stupid.” Epictetus

Epictetus also said, “…if you are steadfast, the same people who ridiculed you will come to admire you.”

Learning requires first and foremost belief, then tenacity to overcome feelings of inadequacy, and discipline to repeat the process even when it appears nothing is happening.

This applies to every skill set under the sun, from developing a mid-range jumper to speaking a new language. Break your mission into tasks and steps, then tackle them one at a time, one day at a time.

The onus is on you to get off your ass and put your nose to the grindstone.

Hard Times Always Come. When They Do, Keep Your Heart and Mind Open

Every man wants to have the willpower of a navy SEAL, but few are willing to endure the pain and suffering required to build it.

Besides becoming an expert homeostasis breaker, enduring hardship with your head held high is the supreme source of colossal willpower. And it is the most effective method of becoming a warrior.

After all, what is a warrior other than a battle-scarred soldier who fights with a heart full of love and a mind for a brighter future?

There are a million ways to fall from grace. People get backstabbed, robbed, fired, abused, etc. It’s easy to dream and believe when your chips are stacked — anyone can do that.

It takes a warrior to feel pain, anguish, and dysphoria, and still believe in fighting.

It is precisely the hard times that train us to reach the apex of our abilities.
